Reviewing a User Profile Seeking Resident Status

Only hub administrators with the proper role permissions can complete this action.

  • When a new user registers as a Resident, the assigned hub administrator will receive an automated email with a unique link to their profile for verification.

  • Hub admins can also review pending users directly from the Community Users tab in the left-hand navigation. Simply select the user that needs to be reviewed to open their detailed profile view.

From here, a hub admin has two options:

  • Accept → The user is verified and officially granted Resident status.

  • Reject → The request is denied, and the user will be identified as a Community Member instead.

Creating a New Community User

Hub administrators can also manually add users:

  • Go to the Community Users section from the left navigation bar.

  • Select + Add User in the upper right corner.

  • Complete the required fields in the pop-up modal.

  • Save the profile, and the user will immediately appear as active in the list—no review process needed.

User Role Types

User Role

Description

Resident

Registered as a resident and approved by a hub admin. Residents can access and interact with everything on the resident platform.

Resident Pending

Registered as a resident but awaiting hub admin approval. Can log in and view content, but cannot interact until verified.

Community Member

Either: (1) self-identified as a Community Member at registration (outside community boundary) or (2) applied as a Resident but failed verification. Community Members have restricted abilities that vary by community.

Initiated

Started the registration process but never finished. Can log in and view content but cannot interact until completing registration.

Closing a User Account

If a user wishes to close their account permanently:

  • They should email the community directly with their request.

  • Once received, the hub administrator should log the account closure request through Intercom in the Hub.

✨ This setup makes it easy for hub administrators to keep community access accurate and up to date!
